Hannah Townsend established Southwell Acupuncture Clinic in 1995, after gaining her Licentiate of Acupuncture at the College of Traditional Acupuncture, UK, To practice Traditional Five Element Acupuncture.Previously working as an Enrolled Nurse in the NHS and private care for ten years, deciding to pursue a career in acupuncture after experiencing the great benefits on her own health and wellbeing.
Traditional Five Element Acupuncture is widely considered beneficial for a large range of illnesses and complaints, such as headaches, neck and back pain, sciatica, ME, MS, menstrual problems and menopause. Including feelings such as low energy, anxiety and depression.
Traditional Five Element Acupuncture is often used in conjunction with western medicine. Women are choosing acupuncture for infertility, IVF, pregnancy and after child birth. Acupuncture can strengthen a person during chemotherapy, long term drug therapy and to help the recovery after surgery. Traditional Five Element Acupuncture works to maintain the systems equilibrium by focusing an all aspects of wellbeing; the physical, mental and emotional.
