About Diamond Pirate
Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) is the other process, and it commonly begins with an HPHT-produced diamond seed. This seed is placed in an enclosed chamber and heated to around 800 degrees Celsius. The chamber is filled with carbon-rich gases that are ionised to form plasma. As a result of the breakdown of molecular bonds, pure carbon adheres to the diamond seed, slowly crystallising into a pure carbon diamond.
