About Cosies Wine Bar
Cosies is a truly unique bar. Because where many bars in Bristol have their own personality, ours has at least two! Whether you’re suited and booted for work or looking to let your hair down, we’ll always make you feel welcome. With brick vaulted ceilings, flagstone floors and old church pews it’s not difficult to see how we got our name. The ambience created by all of this – plus special touches like our urban art hanging on wonky walls and the chintzy old clock still hanging up after 20 years – gives our bar more character than you could ever imagine. The atmosphere here at lunchtime is genuinely buzzing. Serving excellent home-cooked food daily we attract a regular following. Often with business meetings going on in one corner and ladies ‘doing lunch’ in the other, it’s definitely worth calling ahead to make a reservation! As dusk falls and the after-work drinkers stumble home, Cosies puts on its ‘other hat’ and becomes a vibrant music hub. With an underground vibe we’re still ‘The Venue’ for cutting-edge music. Our roots firmly planted in reggae, dubstep, and drum and bass, Cosies continues to be a Bristol institution. So whether your passion is food, music or just enjoying the company of your friends, our bar is definitely worth a visit, or 2 or 3! Cosies Wine Bar is to be found secretly hidden in the vaults beneath 34 Portland Square. We’re just 2mins walk from Cabot Circus and there is plenty of parking just outside and easy access to the M32.
