CORNS & CALLUSES:-
Dealt with painlessly and effectively. We endeavour to keep you mobile and pain free and if possible to cure them. We use removal techniques, chemical treatments, Orthoses (see gait analysis),insoles, padding and modern gel devices to achieve this. In many cases stubborn painful corns and calluses can be removed deeply with electrosurgery leading to long term pain relief or complete resolution.
VERRUCAE:-
We aim to treat verrucae according to the person’s needs. This can range from passive treatment only, to Chemical, liquid nitrogen cryosurgery and by electrosurgery.
DIABETES
As well as the essential correct toenail cutting, hard skin and corn removal, we will monitor your foot health including circulation, sensation and monitoring pressure points using the PEDAR gait analysis system. (see gait analysis)
NAIL PROBLEMS:-
We are very experienced in dealing with misshapen , thickened, diseased, in-growing or fungal nails. This can range from cosmetic treatment to partial or full permanent removal under local analgesic. We specialise in treating in-growing nails with electrosurgical matrixectomy, which has faster healing times and less post operative discomfort than traditional methods.
PODIATRIC ACUPUNCTURE
This is the use of acupuncture as a therapeutic tool , to treat diseases of the lower limb and to provide analgesia to lower limb disorders. Acupuncture needles are placed along specific pathways or at trigger points. The needles stimulate the release of natural painkillers to help relieve the discomfort associated with painful disorders.
GAIT ANALYSIS:-
Many problems in the feet and musculo- skeletal problems in the body can be treated with pre made or custom made orthoses. We will examine your walking
using joint range, quality and bio-inclinometer measurement of position. We will then determine the dynamic walking pressures using the PEDAR computerised in-shoe system. Then with all the data we will recommend off the shelf or custom made orthoses from our own factory, ensuring excellent fit, effectiveness and comfort.
