About Cornlee Guest House
Do you enjoy coming back to a warm and friendly guest house after a hard day's exploration of the local countryside? Perhaps you prefer to stay in a small and intimate guest house rather than becoming lost in a sea of rooms at a big hotel. Based in the picturesque village of Aysgarth located between Leyburn and Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, Cornlee Guest House is the ideal place in which to unwind at the end of a long day.
Plenty To See And Do
After your journey, relax with a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of homemade cake before planning the activities for your stay with the help of our books and maps.
Aysgarth is the starting point for many walks, including the popular, 'Herriot Way', a 52 mile circular walk, which takes in many of the sights and scenery that is featured in the popular books of James Herriot. Only a short walk away are the Aysgarth Falls, which have attracted visitors for over 200 years and were featured in the film, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Our location also allows day trips to be made into Cumbria or across the county to Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay and Scarborough as well as Goathland, where the TV series Heartbeat was filmed.
Not sure where to eat? The fabulous George and Dragon Inn, situated in the village, has a restaurant, bar and a warm welcome to greet visitors with. Alternatively, there are many places to eat, which are situated within a short walk or drive away.
