About The Nevill Arms
The Nevill Arms is a privately owned traditional Inn at the heart of the beautiful Leicestershire village of Medbourne. It is a former stable block which was rebuilt in 1863 in a Tudor style. It has undergone a sympathetic refit whilst retaining its original character, it appeals to a wide range of customers and you can be assured of a warm welcome.
The charming bar with its inglenook fireplace, leaded stone mullioned windows and oak beams offers real ales and a carefully selected wine list which features over 40 wines and Champagnes from around the world. The Nevill offers imaginative, well prepared food which is all locally sourced and prepared under the direction of the team of chefs who use only fresh seasonal ingredients to create dishes to suit everyone, with menus changing daily. From breakfast on the terrace, lunch in the bar or dinner in the fabulous restaurant, there are menus for all occasions.
To the rear, you will find Café Nevill serving a delicious and tempting choice of food and drinks, here we serve breakfast (until noon), sumptuous light bites including Eggs Benedict, Mushrooms Florentine to delicious salads, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. A fine selection of home-made cakes and scones are always available. The traditional English afternoon tea (made even more special when served with a chilled glass of Champagne) is a popular choice. Speciality teas are offered with a delicious selection of sandwiches, freshly home-baked scones with jam and clotted cream and home-made cakes. The terraced garden is a real delight on sunny days and provides just the ambience for alfresco eating.
The nine bedrooms are all well-appointed and to 4 star Visit Britain standard with silver award for cleanliness, they include a four poster, fit for a bride and groom, and several superior rooms.
