About ABBEY THERAPY PRACTICE
After working manyyears within hospitals, I decided to start up my own practice to be able to help more people achieve positive outcomes , as i had more time to spend getting to know my patients without having the overwhelming sense of wanting to do more but not having the time within the hospital because of heavy demands from increasing paper work, waiting list expectations and targets which meant often giving just a percentage of myself to patients. I empathise with the thousands of felow colleagues who are amazing at what they do , just feeling so bogged down with stress and targets that it begins to have negative impacts your own self esteem,core beliefs and other areas of your lives outside of work, with increasing perfectionistic expectations you put on yourself to get things done and often loosing sight of the reality of it all...that you too deserve the care and compassion you dedicate to your patients and co workers , instead of getting critical with yourselves and anxious.
I have built Abbey Therapy Practice up over the years from 90 percent word and mouth referals, to today winning this years what clinic award for best patient services. You are all amazing and do an amazing job supporting our health service and your families, let us support you through your difficulties and times of increased stress with our tailored and structured high intensity CBT, ACT and DBT therapy plans, helping guide you through the tunnel to the light at the other side and emotional freedom and a toolbox of coping techniques.
