About Karen Salmon Counselling
I have an inherently caring and nurturing disposition. My reflective nature and listening capability have led me to become a qualified counsellor.
I hold a Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling incorporating Psychodynamic and Person Centred theory. The Integrative Approach has given me greater scope to adapt theory most suited to the individual client.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and am bound by its codes and ethics.
I have several years practical experience mainly working at Northampton Rape Crisis dealing with a whole host of issues.
I am passionate about my work, helping clients to resolve internal conflicts and deep-rooted difficulties.
Some of the challenges in life such as bereavement, loss of job, illness, breakdown of relationship, abuse (physical or mental) can be overwhelming and may lead to anxiety, stress, fear, self-harm, low self-esteem, addiction and eating problems but to name a few.
If you feel that I can assist you to work through your individual struggles then please get in touch.
