Established as a theatre in 1856, New Theatre Royal has been a cultural landmark in the heart of Portsmouth for over 160 years. Now a local charity New Theatre Royal presents an eclectic mix of live events from Comedy, Drama, Dance, Musicals, Original Artists, Tribute Bands, One night shows, community performances and an annual in-house professionally produced Christmas Spectacular.
We also facilitate and inspire creative talent in the local community via our outreach performances and events.
